About Vino Serve
Vino Serve since
2008
What you always wanted to know about Vino Serve…
Vino Serve began with a love of wine.
Based on daily life in the Burgenland wine-growing region, the desire arose to deal more intensively and regularly with the subject of wine.
Dipl.-Ing. Georg Schweitzer has been in contact with winegrowers since his youth.
He has always been fascinated by the subject of wine and was able to deepen his knowledge in this field after completing his studies at the Vienna University of Technology, specializing in communications engineering.
This resulted in the desire for continuous further training.
Georg Schweitzer completed all levels of training at the Wine Academy, which he completed in 2001 with the title of Wine Academic and DipWSET. Since then, he has been a lecturer at the Wine Academy himself and has worked internationally in this field. From introductory seminars to diploma seminars, Georg Schweitzer teaches in German and English, helps students prepare for exams and passes on his in-depth knowledge in a structured manner.
Georg Schweitzer was also accepted into the circle of Master of Wine students at theInstitute Masters of Wine in London.
In 2018, he passed the 4-day theory exam, the tasting part and the following research paper are still pending.
“What’s important to me is personal service, advice and the daily novelty of wine,” Georg Schweitzer emphasizes.
My motto is: “There is no right and no wrong, only different!” He encourages his customers and students to follow him on his wine journey and to explore unusual and new paths.
The aim of Vino Serve is to increase knowledge about wine.
“We want to bring the philosophy of good wine closer to the consumer,” says Georg Schweitzer.
A lively and continuous exchange with the winegrowers is a prerequisite for this.
Vino Serve sees it as its duty to cultivate wine as a cultural asset.
